The Skeleton Dance

A Little Funny From a Friend

Do you have a joke to share with us? We'd love to hear it!

The Spooky Haunted House

Once upon a time there was a haunted house right in the middle of kindergarten.

It was a giant house.  It was black with a million windows, doors and gates. We wondered who lived in it. We looked and looked.  We listened and listened. We could not hear anyone....

To Be Continued...

Who do you think lives in the house?

Storytellers

Ms. Power's Kinderkids invited our Blue Group friends to their classroom on Friday to listen to them tell a story about a fat old witch! They were very excited to show us some of the witches they had made and to have us try the actions to their story along with them!

We decided to share something with them too!  One of our favourite stories to tell this month is Pumpkin Faces.  We hope you like it!

A Special Reader

One of our kinderkids shared a story with us today!  We loved how she kept her eyes on the words the whole time and touched each word carefully as she read them!

Didn't she do great?

The Haunted Trees of Halloween!

Once upon a time there was a spooky forest of trees.

When people would try to go to the forest, there was no sun and everything was dark. People would want to see the trees but they would run away because there were vampires, and snakes, and mummies and witches and ghosts and goblins and monsters and zombies and skeletons and bats hiding in the trees. All that the people could hear were voices whispering, "I'm going to get you!Boo!"

So all the people would stay away from the forest of trees!

Meeting Farmer Heidi

We went to the pumpkin patch today! Hooray! Thank you to all the moms, dads and grandparents who came along to help us!  We will have fun investigating our pumpkins in class this week before we send them home!

Farmer Heidi talked to us a little about pumpkins and how they grow.

We wonder if our friends from around the world have ever been to a pumpkin patch before?  Please leave us a message to let us know!

It's Pumpkin Patch Day!

While the weather is questionable, we are hoping the forecast is right and we see only clouds and pumpkins this afternoon!

Just a reminder that we will be leaving the school at 12:30.  Please meet us at the front of the school at 12:20.  Don't forget to dress warm and bring your recyclable shopping bag to hold your pumpkin!

See you soon!

Stone Soup

Have you heard about the old folktale Stone Soup? There are many different versions of the story. Today we watched this version.

Stone Soup from David Cullen on Vimeo.

We love to share and work together in kindergarten. We have been bringing in food to share with others for a Thanksgiving Food Drive. We have also been bringing in our own vegetables to make our own soup! Be sure to watch for details! How do you like to share with others?
