Field Day Was A Hit....

Thanks to all those grown ups who stayed around to help with teams and hotdogs and bathrooms and just overseeing!  It was a busy but fun day running and jumping and hopping!  Unfortunately, I did not get many pictures as I was a leader for one of the primary teams so couldn't go about to see all the kinderkids participating! I did snap a couple, but mostly of my team #10 - who were a fantastic team by the way - thank you team 10!

Team 10 - MDE Field Day 2012

If you had a camera and took any pictures of the kinderkids in action, I would LOVE to have a copy of the digital pics.  If you bring in a thumb drive or disc of them I will gladly accept!

If you are a kinderkid home reading this, what was your favorite race today?  Leave a comment to let the world know!

Field Day is Going Ahead....Finally!

It's a go!  All kinderkids will come for the morning session only.  Dismissal will be at 12:00 from the kindergarten entrance.  Just a reminder to come dressed for running and jumping and with sunscreen applied!  See you soon!

Baby Robin Penelope from Maddox Cove

Look what we found this afternoon...

http://mycampage.com/eyenet360 A Robin's nest from Maddox Cove.  They have a live webcam up and running that has broadcast a nest that they discovered with 3 eggs.   There were 3 baby robins, but only 1 is left.  She looks like she is going to fly away soon!

Field Day Woes

Due to the yucky weather, Field Day will be cancelled again for today.  We will try again tomorrow! Kinderkids will come for their regular morning or afternoon session.  See you soon!

They waited and waited but it finally came...Grade One day for the red group! And boy did we have fun!

We stayed the whole day! It was a long one but all sixteen kinderkids were superstars! Here's what we loved the best about grade one day:

Hanz liked doing letters and finding words in pod one.
Nathan W liked eating lunch in pod one.
Dakota liked eating lunch.
Nathan B liked playing on the playground!
Julia's favourite part was playing outside. She also liked going to gym and music.
Tara's favourite part was eating in pod one. She liked playing in gym
Kayleigh's favourite part was playing in the park. She says she like EVERYTHING!
Lauren's favourite part was going to gym. We played pizza maker.
Kade liked playing outside and playing Pizza Maker in gym class.
Abigail liked playing in gym.She like playing pizza maker.
Isaac liked eating in pod one.
Emma liked eatinig in pod one.
Noah liked visiting pod one. We listened and watched a story on the smartboard from Tumblebooks. It was called Stephanie's Ponytail..
Sam liked eating lunch with the pod ones and finding all his friends in the music room. He liked everything.
Gavin liked playing outside at lunch time.
Kiara's favourite part was playing in gym.

One thing is for sure...we have proved that they are more than ready for grade one! Hip Hip Hooray!

Field Day for tomorrow is cancelled!

We just received word from the office that field day will NOT go ahead tomorrow.

This means that we have regular morning and afternoon classes tomorrow and we will try for field day on MONDAY.

If the weather should be suitable on Monday, ALL KINDERGARTEN classes will attend the morning session with a 12 p.m. dismissal. Listen to radio stations and watch our class blog on Monday morning for details. Fingers crossed it will be okay for Monday!

See you all tomorrow....regular time!
