It's Break Time!

Thought I'd share a pic of us in our Easter Bonnets today!  Needless to say, we made a little mess creating these...but it sure was fun!

Happy Break from all of us!  We hope you have a wonderful week off from our regular routine. See you all on Monday April 8th. We'd love to hear about what you are doing during the holidays, be sure to leave us a comment to let us know.

A Visit With The Easter Bunny and Jeff

Today we met the Easter Bunny and Jeff.  Jeff is from Sharkey's Cuts For Kids.  They visited us.  We got to give the Easter Bunny a hug. The Easter Bunny and Jeff gave us loot bags. In the loot bags there were pencils, noise makers shaped like bunny lips, stickers and an easter egg! We got a picture with the Easter Bunny and Jeff! It was awesome!

Jeff read us a book called Piggy Bunny. We loved the book.
Ibrahim said:  the littel pig Liam wanted to be an Easter Bunny.
Mark said: Liam was giving Easter eggs out.
Aiden said: Liam'[s family didn't think he could be the Easter Bunny!
Taewoo said: Liam put on a costume and then he believed he was the Easter Bunny.
Ayesh said: My favourite part was when Liam dressed like a bunny!

A Trip to Sobeys

Today we went to Sobeys for a field trip.

We met two nice ladies Susan and Katrina who told us all about eating healthy foods.

We learned about Canada's Food Guide.  It tells us what our bodies need to be healthy!

Here are some other things we learned:

Sarah learned that there are girl and boy pineapples. Girls are sweeter and they have longer leaves than the boy pineapples!

Grant learned about avocados. They are fruit.  They have a huge seed inside.

We put avocado in our smoothie. Grant says it was delicious!

Mackenzie says she saw carrots.  Carrots are healthy and they are vegetables!

Amelia says we learned about spaghetti squash.  When you cut it open and scoop it out, it looks like spaghetti!

Nick's favourite part was eating the smoothie!
Here is the recipe:
1 cup of frozen berries
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
1/2 an avocado

Blend it all together and enjoy!

We also made a yogurt parfait!  We scooped vanilla yogurt, strawberry yogurt, fresh strawberries, blueberries and granola into a cup.

Grant says it was a joy! Ethan says it tasted good. Maia says it tasted delicious!

Jack liked the dragon fruit.  We wonder what it tastes like!

Did you know that tomatoes have seeds inside them and they are really a fruit?!

Thank you Sobeys for such a fun morning!  We loved learning about healthy eating with you!
