The past few days we have been talking about Weather Lore and the significance of the groundhog. We investigated shadows, discovered that there are no groundhogs in Newfoundland, and read a wonderful new story from our library - Wake Up, Groundhog! Thank you Ms. Warren for bringing it to us!February 2nd is Groundhog Day! I have a mission for all kinderkids. Since we have no groundhogs in our province to watch, we will be the groundhogs! When you wake up on Sunday, check outside to see if you can find your shadow...just like a groundhog would. We'll be tracking our February weather to see if the tale of the groundhog is true!
