Baby Robin Penelope from Maddox Cove

http://mycampage.com/eyenet360 A Robin's nest from Maddox Cove.  They have a live webcam up and running that has broadcast a nest that they discovered with 3 eggs.   There were 3 baby robins, but only 1 is left.  She looks like she is going to fly away soon!

A special delivery came today.

Living things are everywhere!

Have you heard about our seeds?  Last week we planted some!

Some have turned into living things.  We are documenting them as they  change.

Today some friends found roots and a few friends even discovered a sprout!

Signs of Spring!

 Today we brainstormed on the Smartboard "How can we tell if spring has arrived?" Then, with our list of possible things to look for, we did a walk around the school to see how many we could find.

We were surprised to see so many of the signs we thought of! We found leaf buds, flowers, bugs and (yes!) even the sun! Spring has definitely arrived at Macdonald Drive Elementary!
