Love is in the air

With Valentine's Day coming soon we decided to make special mailboxes to hold all the love notes from our friends!

Meeting Our Buddies

It finally happened!  Ms. Kavanagh's Pod Six Class came to visit us and 

Buddy Reading officially began!  

 

   

 

  

 After meeting our buddies we drew pictures of ourselves and had our buddies share a story with us!  We look forward to getting to know our buddies better.  Next time we will show our buddies that we can read too!

Calling All Groundhogs!

Today is Groundhog Day!

 Since we have no groundhogs in Newfoundland we were going to be groundhogs in kindergarten today and look for our shadow but our snowstorm put an end to that! If you were a groundhog would you see your shadow today? Try it and see!  Let us know what you find out!

Our Bucket of Snow!

And down came the snow once again!  We decided to try to catch some of those big flakes that were falling with our water table!  We only left our container outside for an hour and boy did we ever collect a lot of snow! It got so stormy we decided we had better bring it inside...and just in time for a special announcement...SNOWDAY for all!

Number Combinations

We are busy learning how to show numbers in different ways.  We used unifix cubes and popsicle sticks and even string.  We found lots of ways to make six! Look for a collection of 6 things around your house.  Be sure to tell us what you found!
